Hello my friends. I've been very busy doing art assignments and other things. Above is my version of a Metallic Dragon, done for Hero Games. It will be in a new book they are publishing called "The Book of Dragons" I did 3 illustrations in all for it. You can find out more about Hero Games at
http://www.herogames.com This is a wonderful company to work for and I am thrilled to be working for them.
I also landed a new gig with a British Publishing company, Dog Horn press. This a class act as well and they publish everything from novels, magazines, art books and Graphic novels. The owner of the company really likes my work and I have a feeling that I will be working with them for a very long time to come.
I decided a year ago that I was going to quit working in publishing, except for commitments I had previously made, and just concentrate on building a new portfolio
develop the skills I had been taught by Master Daniel Horne and Todd Lockwood. Well, it was the best
decision I've made in a long time concerning my art and now it is paying off.
My second goal that I made last year was that when I came back that I would work on building long term clients. So far, so good. So it seems that when I make decisions for myself, instead of letting others do it for me, I am much better off.
In my last blog I mentioned some big news. Well, it has come to pass and the news is this. I live up north now. I live close to the big time publishers so I can visit them in person now. I lived in my home state of North Carolina for many years, but I felt like I needed a big change, so I made one and I am thrilled. My art is much more
received here more than it ever was in the deep south. It's gonna take some time to get use to all the snow, but I love snow. I feel like this is a new chapter in my life and it's going to be a good one.
Well, back to work I go. Peace and Blessings to you.
